Wanted to share with you a card I made for my friend's 31st Birthday!
This cute card was inspired by the one in the Stampin' Up! 2010/2011 Idea book & Catalogue, made using:
Stamp set - Cheep talk
Colors - In colors, peach parfait, pear pizzazz & concord crush. Brights - Tempting Turquoise & Old Olive.

After I finished it I thought it needed just a little something extra:

Can you see it?
I think it just finishes it off!
Anyway, Happy Birthday my sweet friend Holly!

For my Sister!

Ok as promised, I am showing you the card I made for my Sister's Birthday!
It's not till the end of the month but I said she could open it early as she may be traveling on or around the time of her Birthday.
This was my first attempt at making an easel card & was very pleased with it. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be!!
The colors I used are, Night of Navy, Marina Mist & Very Vanilla.
Stamp Set: Elements of Style.

Thank You!

After Christmas I had a few people to thank so got into making some 'thank you' cards!

The first one I used the Manhattan Flower Embossing folder, and put it through the Big Shot with Whisper White card stock.
I used the Baja Breeze Classic Stampin' Pad & rubbed it over the flower.
The ribbon is the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Early Espresso.
The flower is mounted onto Early Espresso card stock (I love this new color!!).
I used the Vintage Labels stamp & the 'thank you' stamp from the 'Happy Moments' stamp set (both retired).
The 'thank you' was also stamped in Early Espresso & mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Never having enough 'thank you' cards I also made a set of 10 cards, using the new hostess stamp set Silhouette Sentiments. Using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder I embossed half of the Whisper White card so the inside panel is smooth to write on. The envelopes are stamped with the bird & I again used Early Espresso for these cards.

Happy New Year!!

Can you believe it is now 2011??!!
We had a very quiet New years Eve.
My Dad cooked up a batch of oliebollen. A dutch treat eaten on New Years Eve, it is a doughnut type batter with raisins, deep fried & then generously covered with Icing sugar!

We bought Sparklers for the kids to have fun with. Poor Bee needed a lot of coaxing! She had fingers in her ears as she thought they were going to go off like fireworks & she was worried about burning herself! She got there in the end!:)
